Jim Prisby lives in Illinois with his wife and two daughters. When not traveling in his 15-state territory, he enjoys hanging out with his girls, and his favorite Saturday night is to spend time with the family around the coffee table immersed in a board game or a round of cards.

Jim Prisby likens Uponor training to that of being in a showroom with the latest models of your favorite car. The showroom highlights the latest models and options while educating the consumer about new features. “My job in training is to educate our customers on Uponor’s products,” he says. “During training we, like a showroom, showcase our benefits and advantages to allow everyone to experience our advanced options, new accessories and latest technologies.”

Getting Hands Dirty Builds Relationships

Jim Prisby completed his first radiant installation in 1988 pulling 5/8” tubing for joist heating. Much like the industry has evolved over the years, so has his focus and experience. Getting his hands dirty comes with the job he reckons, and spending time on various construction sites throughout his career has made him an expert on radiant heating and plumbing. “Working through real live issues is the best way to learn the ins and outs of our products while forging credible relationships with our customers.” His training focus is that everyone - regardless of experience - walks away with useful ideas and tangible information after one of his sessions.
